What's new in Kali Linux 2.0

Kali Linux 2.0 Release Day Scheduled – 11th August 2015
Kali Linux v2.0 : Kali Sana

A much awaited and much powerful next version for Kali Linux is scheduled to be release on 11th August 2015. As we all are familiar with its prior versions by Offensive security, from Backtrack v1 to Backtrack v5, then Kali Linux. The next version Kali Linux 2.0 comes with a codename Kali Sana.


The new Kali Sana ( Kali Linux v2.0 ) comprises of many new features like –
Ø  Re-designed the user interface for a streamlined work experience
Ø  reconstructed menus and tools categories
Ø  weekly update of core tool sets
Ø  Native Ruby 2.0 for faster Metasploit load times
Ø  Built in desktop notifications as well as built in screencasting
Ø  Featuring cutting edge wireless penetration testing tools and many more

They announced the next version Kali Sana with a tweet and post on their official website Kali.org.

We’ve been awfully quiet lately, which usually means something is brewing below the surface. In the past few months we’ve been working feverishly on our next generation of Kali Linux and we’re really happy with how it’s looking so far. There’s a lot of new features and interesting new aspects to this updated version, however we’ll keep our mouths shut until we’re done with the release. We won’t leave you completely hanging though…here’s a small teaser of things to come!
